The more I think about it (especially since it’s once again become a big political talking-point in SA) the more I begin to see that Communism isn’t so much a political system as a really long and detailed bout of depression……
It’s like the practical manifestation of despair regarding the human race.
That we can be seen as masses to begin with, that it’s assumed that said masses can never move beyond some dreary point of being used, abused, mobilised and generally messed around by a few “special people” who have somehow emerged, like ambitious amoebae, from the witless mass.
It’s degrading, patronising and hopeless – it won’t even try.
Just my thoughts on it so far…
